From Stuck to Studio

Why I Started From Stuck to Studio

I’ve spent over 35 years working as a professional designer and practicing artist — and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that getting stuck is part of the creative process.

But staying stuck? That doesn’t have to be. I was lucky to have a few mentors over the course of my career and it was invaluable to me.

From Stuck to Studio was born from the conversations I kept having — with students, peers, friends, even clients — all creative people who were full of potential but feeling blocked, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward.

They weren’t short on talent. They were short on clarity, confidence and a sounding board.

And I realized: That’s where I could help.

My Own Creative Detours

There have been times in my career where I questioned everything — whether I was “good enough,” whether my work mattered, whether I was heading in the right direction.

I’ve lived and worked across Europe and North America, built accessible websites and mobile apps, shown art in galleries and designed for major organizations. And even with all that experience, I’ve had seasons where it felt hard to create.

Sometimes, you don’t need a breakthrough.

You just need someone to walk beside you for a little while — to ask the right questions, offer honest feedback and remind you why you started.

That’s what I do now.

Why Coaching?

Creative coaching is not about fixing you. You’re not broken.

It’s about helping you get back to your voice.

To make work that feels like yours again.

To stop spinning and start building.

I work with both artists and designers — because whether you’re painting for a gallery or polishing your UX portfolio, the challenges are more similar than you’d think: self-doubt, unclear goals, isolation, burnout, perfectionism.

This practice is built to meet you in that messy middle — and help you move forward.
